Seminar for Seafood-eating enthusiasts

In the framework of Food Expo and specifically on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 18.00 -19.00 in room C2 of Metropolitan Expo, a special seminar for fish lovers was organized.

The speakers were experts in the field:

  • The Director General of Strategic Development of Foreign Trade, Mr. Yannis Retsas
  • The Special Advisor of PASEKT, Mr. Xenophon Lourantos
  • Mr. Konstantinos Arvanitis, Cardiologist
  • The Nutritionist, Mrs. Stupi
  • The Specialist Food Technologist, Mr Andreas Souliotis
  • The internationally recognized Chef, Mr. Christoforos Peskias

who, to an audience of about 150 stakeholders, presented the general framework of the Frozen Food Promotion project, the role and contribution of PASEKT, the overall process of catching-freezing-transporting-consumption of the products, as well as the traceability during the process of these stages, for maximum quality assurance, the health benefits of frequent consumption of frozen fish for young and old alike and, finally, their taste characteristics and their potential for rich culinary creations in the right hands.

To close the seminar, fingerfood followed with delicious seafood creations from Frozen Catch. An opportunity for relaxation, discussion on the very interesting topics of the seminar and “recharging the batteries” after a busy but full day.
