Under the direction of Mr. Christoforos Peskias, a special master class for gastronomy was organized in the premises of IEK Euroteam in Patras. All IEK students had the opportunity to participate in the master class, as well as important personalities from the business community of Patras.
The aim of the educational activity was to inform and sensitize the guests, both as consumers and as key or future factors in the field of tasting, gastronomy, and tourism.
Guests were informed about the nutritional value of frozen seafood. More specifically, that frozen seafoods are fresh and retain all nutrients unchanged, just as they were caught and frozen.
It was also emphasized that the frozen catches are equivalent, if not superior, to the fresh ones. They are also much more economical and practical, as they can be kept in our home freezer for much longer, at least 18 months. Moreover, we can easily enjoy them all year round, since they can be thawed and cooked in a short time, allowing us to include seafood in our daily menu.
